ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS: Choose one to focus on...

• Which countries or groups of people are most responsible for the trans-Atlantic slave trade?
• What was the effect of the slave trade and the middle passage journey on the enslaved African people?

Directions: Follow these steps to complete the task...

1. Visit at least THREE of the websites below and look for information that will help you answer the two essential questions. 
2. Make sure that you define the following terms in your notes:
•  Triangular Trade
• Middle Passage 
3. Record the relevant information you find by taking Cornell notes. Make sure to indicate the name of the website where you found the information.
4. Organize your information using the graphic organizer provided to you from Ms. Davenport.
5. Choose ONE of the essential questions and write a paragraph wherein you answer the essential question and refer to three pieces of evidence to support your response. Ms. Davenport will give you an organizer to assist you in writing this paragraph.
